What we’re about to show you is possibly better than what the upcoming BMW M2. Before you start laughing, just hear us out, as the guys from Tuningwerk don’t seem to be playing around.
They just released the complete info on their version of the M235i and it is absolutely crazy. The N55 6-cylinder engine was taken up to no less than 450 HP and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque thanks to a plethora of upgrades. In case you’ve been missing out on the M3 and M4 specs, that’s 17 more horses and 50 more Nm (32 lb-ft) of torque.

Amongst the changes that this car underwent you’ll find things such as new pistons, crankshafts, rods, thermo coatings, a new radiator, oil cooler and a different turbo. Furthermore, to make sure lubrication doesn’t suffer in any way, the whole oil system was reworked with a custom oil pan that would deal with all the extra G force this car will experience.

The transmission can be either a manual 6-speed or ZF’s 8-speed auto but the weight will go up by 45 kilos (100 lbs) if the latter is chosen. Speaking of the weight, the tuner claims that it’s still under 1,500 kilos (3,306 lbs) which should translate into a sharper response.

Of course, bigger brakes were also added to the mix alongside a custom suspension, new wheels and tires, a custom limited-slip differential at the back (as the BMW one isn’t available yet), rear bench delete and new sport seats up front to keep you in check.

This is probably the closest thing to an actual M2 you can get at the moment and it might give the upcoming M car a run for its money too. Unfortunately, at the moment, the price tag for such a ludicrous 2er is not available but expect it to be released pretty soon.
