Trucks are extremely dangerous on the road, as we’ve shown you before, more than once. They are dangerous to passenger cars as well as each other. They have limited visibility, poor brakes when compared to those fitted to normal cars and also carry a lot of inertia as they move along so even all the braking force they have is basically squandered.
If, for instance, a truck driver stopping his rig in the middle of the road is mainly a risky to other truck drivers who require rather large distances in order to stop safely. And, exactly according to the theory, it’s another truck that crashes into the one which is stopped causing massive damage. However, things could have gone much much worse, as there was a third truck (a smaller one) which was sandwiched between the two big rigs.
Happily, the driver of the smaller truck had already gotten out of his vehicle, otherwise it would have ended very badly for him. Where did all this carnage occur? Why it’s Russia, of course!
