Triumph Spitfire Engine Rebuild in Time Lapse

Coming to your Internet browser for the era of mustaches, tweed and jackets with patches on their elbows is the Triumph Spitfire. The quintessentially British sportscar is an icon from the past, and thanks to its charm and character it still has plenty of fans willing to get their hand dirty for a bit of weekend motoring with the wife.
The most obvious problem with a car this age is the engine. The one that this owner has was completely wrecked, and so he bought another one off eBay. The only problem was that it had also seen one too many miles.

And so he decided to strip everything off, clean it, paint it and put it back together. The whole process was captured in 3000 (What, 3000!) photos that were then ‘stitched’ back together into a time-lapse video that actually covers 11 months of building. This is the best way to waste 2 minutes of your Friday, so just grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the build playing to Edward Griegs’ “In The Hall Of The Mountain King"

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
