There are few bikes which can rival the cafe-racer character Triumphs have, and maybe that's why some of the best custom cafes are based on the British brand. Here's a new machine from the sunny California: the Triumph Brighton, a creation of Richard Pollock (Mule Motorcycles) and Richard Varner (Streetmaster).
The Brighton is powered by a modified Bonneville power unit which now produces 78 hp, 11 more than the factory specs. While the displacement was not modified, a different ignition mapping has been loaded and pair of 39mm Keihin FCR carburetors deliver the extra juice. Of course, the exhaust needed reworking, and the new, custom-made free flowing lines are up to the task.

A Buell Cyclone fork complements the Racetec rear shocks and bigger drum brakes have been installed to provide the Brighton with increased stopping force. The tank, side covers and rear cowl are in polished aluminium with an exquisite Red partial paint and gold accents, screaming the retro character of this nifty cafe-racer.

Even with the custom oil radiator, the Triumph Brighton weighs is at 355 lbs (161 kg). Compare these figures with the 495 lbs (224 kg) of the stock Bonneville,a dd in the extra power and try to imagine how riding it feels.

However, all these nifty details come with a hefty price of $37,500 (€28,530), almost 5 times the price for a 2013 Triumph Bonneville.
