Toyota sees the future of the car as a semi-autonomous and very efficient EV, in the form of the iiMo concept. It was first shown last year, when it was called the Fun-Vii, yet whey they revealed it at the Sao Paulo Motor Show, they changed its name, as well as releasing additional details.
The concept itself is ultimately customizable, no longer being painted, as both the interior and exterior are covered in some sort of LED display technology, which allows the owner to not only change the color of the vehicle, but also display images and even videos, both on the bodywork, as well as on most of the inside. The concept would feature autonomous driving capabilities, a on-board navigation system, with a holographic projection to guide the driver, instead of just a almost robotic voice, if you will.
On the technical side, the car would feature wireless charging (which will probably become a legal requirement for all parking spots, in the future) and a very low drag coefficient, to use as little juice as possible, as in the future projected by the Japanese manufacturer, all vehicles seem to be fully electric. They are trying to convey a feeling of happiness, as the actors in the ad never get their smile off their face - we truly hope that the future is as utopian as Toyota say it will be, and if it would turn out exactly like in this ad, we would not be bothered at all.
