Toyota Motor Sales USA announced that it will conduct another recall, involving about 10,000 sedans made this year.
The affected vehicles seem to have a wiper switch glitch which can render the system inoperative. Certain contacts on the switch terminal could have been manufactured incorrectly, leading to a short if the switch is moved from OFF to MIST setting.
This problem seems to affect about 10,000 2013-2014 model year Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Avalon Hybrid and Corolla.
Owners will be notified by first class mail to return their vehicles to a Toyota dealer in order to replace the faulty wiper switch. For more information visit the Toyota Recall Webpage.
