If you are a “greenhead” wanting to learn more about advanced hybrid/EV vehicles and happen to live around Toronto, then the second annual “EV Day” is the right place to be today.
As expected, the event will be joined by Toyota Canada, that will bring its most petrol-saving vehicle in the range - the Prius Plug-in Hybrid.

“The Prius PHV’s extended electric range makes it the ideal city car,” said Sandy Di Felice, Director, External Affairs, Toyota Canada Inc. “With up to 25 kilometers of all-electric driving, the typical daily Canadian commute can be made without using a single drop of gas.”

Attendees will be able to hop in the Prius’ driver seat and test it in all its driving modes. The hybrid features a lithium-ion battery pack that can be fully recharged in 3 hours from a regular household outlet, or in just 90 minutes from a 220-volt dedicated socket. On a full charge, you can travel up to 62 miles (100 km) using not a single drop of dinosaur juice.

The event will be held downtown Toronto at the Yonge-Dudnas Square with free admission for all, starting today (July 18) at 9 a.m.
