Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has recently announced its second quarter sales, consisting of over 200,000 Lexus and Toyota vehicles delivered to their owners in the last six months.
Totaling 215,734 units in Q2, TME managed to stay in line with same period sales in 2012. The Yaris Hybrid model broke the record pushed the automaker’s hybrid sales up by 113.9 percent, while the 62,256 Auris sold represent a 39.2 percent increase in year-on-year sales.

“Our sales performance during the second quarter of 2013 is very much in line with our plans. We kept our market share at a steady 4.5% during the first six months of the year even as automotive sales in Europe continue to lose steam. The performance of our Auris and Auris Hybrid in the C-segment is particularly encouraging, with sales increasing by around 40% every quarter, while the segment remained flat.” said TME Senior Vice-President for Sales and Marketing Daniele Schillaci.
