Car sales in the United States went up by 8.2 percent in the first five moths of 2013, compared to the same period of last year.
Of course, the best-sellers were the vehicles that recently got updated and Toyota together with its luxury division Lexus can brag with their new models.
Of the top 9 places the Toyota Avalon went on third, with over double the sales it got last year’s first half, registering 30,945 units delivered between January and May 2013. The 2013 Avalon model got a sleek new styling, a stiffer chassis and an improved ride, also being available in hybrid mode which offers 40 mpg combined city and highway.
Just bellow it, on 4th, we find the Lexus ES which almost doubled its sales too, comparing to first half of 2012, now registering 27,813 units sold as against 14,485 of January - May 2012.
