Toyota’s NASCAR racing team confronted several engine failures in the earlier races, which led the them tho reduce the racing car’s power output in order to last longer.
TRD didn’t mentioned by how much the engine power was cut, but drivers like Denny Hamlin could tell the difference, but at least, he managed to finish the race.
“It’s big,” Hamlin said after his eighth-place finish. “Any horsepower change is going to be a tough thing to overcome.”
Matt Kenseth said he didn’t feel too much of a difference, not until his engine started behave a bit bad during the race at Pocono. None of TRD drivers finished in top five there, with Kyle Busch managing to achieve the sixth position for the team.
We hope TRD will sort these engine problems until the next race in Michigan this week. Toyota is known for reliability though, so a bit of engine issues won’t be too much of a problem, being just a matter of time until the guys sort it out.
