We all know Toyota’s motto is “Let’s Go Places”, right? Well, their saying just got upgraded, as it’s not all about going somewhere, but going there safely.
“Let’s Go Places Safely” is a new campaign meant to increase people’s awareness over the Japanese automaker’s both active and passive safety technology.
Toyota is trying to combine humans’ capacity of understanding traffic with vehicles’ technology of traffic information collecting, like blind spot monitoring, pre-collision system, lane-keeping assist and more. The current technology is at its youth, with vehicles being able to do simple things, like parking, following other vehicles, keeping the lanes or apply the brakes in an emergency, but Toyota ensures us that sometime in future, cars will be able to “think” for themselves and adapt to traffic with less input from the driver.
The automaker wants to change the way vehicles are protecting its passengers and it wants their technology to be available for other automakers too. So check the videos bellow to see how that’s going to happen.
