The Toyota/Scion iQ is on its way out after after failing to meet the sales targets set upon it by the largest automaker in the world. However, before production comes to an end another special edition is going to be launched.
Built to commemorate a decade since the the first Toyota Netz showroom opened, the special edition iQ features a very interesting two-tone paintjob. One choice is to have it with a blue metallic roof and white pearl crystal, the other blue mica metallic and silver metallic.
In addition the iQ features a generous level of standard trim. This interior is dressed up in black leather with blue accents. The 3-spoke steering wheel, the shift knob for the CVT gearbox and amply supportive seats have all been covered in perforated cow hide with blue accent stitching. Adding even more personality is a blue roof liner that extends to cover all the pillars of the roof.
All iQ special editions are based on the 130G trim level and come with a 1.3-liter DOHC engine . You can either have it with a 6-speed manual for 1,864,473 yen or with a CVT (with simulated 7-speed simulation) for 1,915,527 yen.
It's unlikely that this car will ever make it to Europe or America, but it will be an interesting spot of color in Japan.
