Thought Toyota forgot about the Aygo city car with all the fuss going around the new Corolla and Auris Hybrid? No it didn’t and this summer the little runabout gets improved equipment and visuals.
Eight years since the Aygo came on the market and following its last facelift in 2012, the range will will get extra safety features, new colors and roof decals to keep it in the top of the list for city-car future customers.

The Aygo will remain the same lively and cheap-to-run vehicle we got used to, but with a different grade line-up that runs from Active and Active Plus through to Mode and Move.

Equipment wise, the major change is represented by the complementary safety equipment that will fit all the range. This means that even the entry level Active model will come with standard VSC stability control, curtain airbags, ISOFIX mounts and seatbelt reminders added to the ABS, EBD and previous airbags for driver and passenger.

The Mode version will add a set of 14-inch eight-spoke Ragno alloy wheels, fog lights, rear privacy glass, LED daytime running lights, tachometer, electric front windows, remote central locking and body color-matching door handles and mirror casings.

The Aygo Move will accommodate a portable TomTom navigation system, USB, Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, air conditioning, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob. There is also a Style pack available for this model that adds six-spoke alloys, LED daylight running lights and privacy glass.

Only for the Mode and Move, the automaker has release the Protection Pack that provides rear parking sensors, front and rear mud flaps, carpet mats and side protection moldings. There is also a Design Pack available if you want front scuff plates, chrome trimmings and chrome tailpipes.

There are two new colors available now - Nero Rosso that combines combines a deep red body finish with a contrasting black roof and Napoli Blue metallic that adds matching trims on the door panels, air vents and tachometer surrounds.

To further customize your Aygo, you can choose some new roof decals, like the Union Jack, racing checkered flag, white gloss, or gloss/matte back.
