You’ve seen it in hundreds of times in movies: car tries to pass the rail road, stops for no reason and gets totaled by the unavoidably incoming train.
While that is not the case here, it still involves crossing the rails in a car and an incoming train. However, the car didn’t malfunction on the spot, its driver being the only guilty part in the equation.
According to report from the Houston County sheriff’s department, a woman drove her 2011 Toyota Corolla onto the railroad just around the crossing arms that were down, announcing an incoming train. As a result, the car was heavily damaged in the rear part and all the airbags deployed inside.
There is no information on the woman’s identity or her getting charges, only that she escaped with minimum damage from the scene, thanks to the Corolla’s robustness of course.
