No point in getting a Toyota if it's not efficient, right? Even an average mid-size sedan like the Camry will get you good miles to the gallon, but thankfully Toyota also popped a hybrid motor in when when the 2012 Camry was launched. That car model has finally made it to the Indian market, where it's being classed as a luxury saloon, together with the VW Passat.
Autocar India yesterday published their in-depth review of the car. They found it was impressively refined and quiet. In Normal mode, it's also very responsive and the brakes are better than on a Prius.

They say that it could be the first relatively successful hybrid in India due to its low sticker price. Eventually, Toyota's range of efficient hybrid engines could trickle down into smaller and cheaper cars as well, but for the luxury market is going to have to do.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
