Want to pass MOTs with no worries each time? Buy Japanese vehicles, like Toyota or Honda.
Latest studies from TootCompare on data provided by Vehicle Operator and Services Agency (VOSA) are clearly showing Toyota and Honda vehicles took MOTs with no remedial work needed.
The study was performed on 1.2 million vehicles registered in 2010 and tested in 2013, with an average of 30,000 miles on the clock at their first MOT.
First place for highest pass rate was achieved by the Toyota iQ, with 91.8 percent, the second spot was taken by the Honda Jazz with 90.4% and third got occupied by the CR-V with 89.8 percent.
The absolute worst two models were the Renault Kangoo (63.5%) and the Citroen Berlingo (67.8%).
