The Marussia Formula One team has just announced that one of its drivers, German racer Timo Glock, will be leaving the outfit, and will not be taking part in any of their 2013 testing sessions or any of the races from the 2013 calendar.
According to Marussia, there is nothing more involved in the matter, and both parties agreed to part by mutual agreement and consent.

As a reminder, Timo Glock joined the team right at the start of the 2010 season, and his contract lasted until 2014. However, since the team failed to achieve 10th place in the constructors' championship (losing out in the final race of the 2012 season), it seems they have decided to scout for new talent.

Currently, the Russian outfit has only enlisted the services of a complete newcomer - Max Chilton, aged 21. His previous F1 experience is limited to driving for the Force India team in the Young Driver test, in Abu Dhabi, before being 'adopted' by Marussia as a 'testing and reserve driver'.

Chilton did compete in the in the first practice session at the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in November of 2012, for the Marussia team, so perhaps some fresh blood is what they need to achieve greater success in 2013.
