Android Auto wireless adapters have made it incredibly easy to ditch cables, and if you are a long-time Google user who connects their phone to the vehicle, you probably know how important this is.
Cables have also caused headaches behind the wheel due to stability and reliability issues, and even Google has come up with recommendations on how to pick the right cord for Android Auto. Not all these tips do the trick, and some users claim that Android Auto still encounters random disconnects and app crashes despite following Google's guidelines for choosing a cable.

Going wireless is easy. All you need is an Android Auto wireless adapter. These devices connect to the vehicle using its USB port used to run Android Auto and to your mobile phone via Bluetooth. They play the role of a middleman, establishing the wireless connection between the phone and the head unit.

AAWireless and Motorola's MA1 are the two most popular Android Auto wireless adapters on the market today, with the latter just hitting the lowest price since launch.

It's not a secret that Motorola has often released major price cuts for the MA1 as if the company was paving the way for a second-generation model. The same thing happened this week when the MA1 was discounted again to the lowest-ever price of $47.95.

This is almost half the launch price, as the MA1 originally cost $89.99. The parent company gradually lowered the price, especially as the competition in this market got fiercer.

The market is indeed filled with Android Auto wireless adapters, and if you don't mind occasional reliability issues and going for a generic Chinese brand, you can find such devices for as low as $20. Of course, AAWireless and Motorola MA1 remain the top options, getting continued support and updates.

Meanwhile, AAWireless is working around the clock on finalizing the development of its second-generation model, something that Motorola doesn't seem to be interested in. The upgraded AAWireless version will come with CarPlay support out of the box, meaning that Apple users will also be able to convert a wired connection into wireless using this adapter. It'll work in a similar way, with the device connecting to the vehicle using the CarPlay USB port and to the iPhone via Bluetooth. The launch date is still unknown, but AAWireless plans to unveil the second generation this year.

It's unclear how long Motorola's new price cut will last, but you undoubtedly need to hurry up if you want to buy the MA1 at this incredible price. It won't take long before the device will get the same discount, as Motorola has made it a hobby to cut the price of its adapter in the last few months.
