They say everything is bigger in Texas, but this might no longer stand true as tiny living is gaining new ground every day, with plenty of both empty-nesters and younger people looking to downsize and simplify their lifestyle to cut down expenses, reduce their environmental footprint, and gain more freedom.
The state of Texas is one of the most tiny house friendly in the US, with regulations and zoning laws making building and living in a tiny house easier, so it's no surprise there are plenty of tiny home builders in the state that would love to assist in building the compact dwelling of your dreams.

One of the latest we've come across is Tiny Homes ATX, a company owned and operated by a husband and wife team that strives to offer creative tiny home solutions that are built to the highest standard to provide customers with a premium tiny living experience.

The most recent addition to the builder's portfolio is the Contemporary X, a 32-foot (9.75-meter) long and 8.5-foot (2.6-meter) wide tiny house built on a trailer that offers 405 square feet (37.6 square meters) of livable space and maintains all the comforts of a traditional home while offering the perk of mobility.

Due to its generous length, this tiny home doesn't feel cramped at all, and this is an important aspect for those looking to downsize, as many dream of switching to a compact dwelling that looks and feels like a traditional brick-and-mortar house. The exceptionally crafted Contemporary X can fulfill that dream, as it has everything a family needs for long-term living in a tiny house.

Striking the right balance between form and function, this tiny house on wheels is not only about simplicity but also about modern luxury. The thoughtful interior layout comprises a generous living area, an office space, a full kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and two queen-size sleeping lofts.

The most outstanding feature inside this home is the two-loft configuration that incorporates a narrow walkway with full-standing height that connects the two lofts. This design choice eats away a bit of vertical space in the living room but, on the other hand, it means there is no need for a double staircase or extra ladders and allows easy passage from one loft to the other.

Moreover, the dual-loft setup makes this home suitable for families, but it's also convenient when you have guests over or if you want to set up a kid's room, a media room, or just need some extra storage space.

Both lofts fit queen-size mattresses and come with windows and skylights that allow plenty of natural light to get in and make the space feel bright and airy. They are big enough to also add a wardrobe or wall-mounted cabinets to maximize the use of space and create storage for personal belongings.

The ground floor holds a living room in the middle with an adjacent office area, a U-shaped kitchen that feels like a separate space, and a modern bathroom. The lounging space can be fitted with a sofa facing a wall-mounted TV and some storage cabinets to create a clean and modern living space. Additional storage can be included by means of open shelving systems that would help keep the space uncluttered.

Next to the couch, the owners can fit a desk and chair set to fulfill their work-from-home duties.

The U-shaped kitchen sits at one end of the house and integrates plenty of cabinets where you can stow away all your cooking essentials. There are no overhead cabinets, and we suppose that's because the builders used drywalls for the interior of this house, but with the right anchors, future owners could install additional cabinets or floating shelves themselves.

The pristine-white kitchen boasts modern European-style countertops, providing plenty of space for cutting, chopping, and cooking. In terms of functionality, it comes equipped with a double sink, a four-burner electric cooktop, and space for a full-size refrigerator.

The bathroom is all the way on the other side of Contemporary X and is fitted with a gorgeous walk-in tiled shower, a floating vanity with sink, towel racks, and a residential toilet.

There is also space for a washer/dryer combo underneath the staircase leading to the lofts.

As mentioned, the interior uses drywall with orange peel texture throughout, coupled with water-resistant laminate floorings all over, including on the stair treads. As for the exterior, it is clad in lightweight timber siding in a neutral color with an Oakridge Driftwood roof with a 30-year warranty.

The Contemporary X tiny house on wheels is for sale now for $69,000. The design of this compact dwelling is versatile enough to add your personal touch and make it feel your own. You can also use it as inspiration for a completely customized tiny home that will fit your needs and desires.
