The 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS is quite a looker, there’s no doubt about it, and the example we’re going to highlight today is living proof in this regard.
It’s all because the car looks absolutely stunning, with everything seemingly in tip-top condition. At first glance, this Impala starts and drives, sports a ravishing exterior, and is the home of a nearly mint interior. Is there any catch? Let’s see.

First and foremost, the paint looks excellent, with no visible signs of rust, dings, or scratches. The chromed parts also shine like a diamond, so judging from the photos here, everything is just the way it’s supposed to be on an automotive icon.

Is this the original finish? Has the car ever been repainted? Where has the owner parked it? Is it a barn find? Nobody knows for sure, as these are all questions that don’t yet have an answer. Published on eBay by seller bottledgto06, this gorgeous Impala comes with only a few specifics, and this is why we said it’s a mystery waiting to be solved.

Power comes from a 327ci (5.3-liter) engine paired with an automatic transmission, and according to the seller, the Impala SS has just 8,000 miles (12,874 km) on the clock. That’s certainly unexpected, there’s no doubt about it, but there’s a chance this is the mileage after an engine rebuild.

Given the condition of the car and the low mileage, the Impala SS might have been part of a restoration project performed recently that gave it the new-car look we can all admire in the photo gallery.

The Impala SS is said to come with plenty of factory options in working condition, including cruise control, air conditioning, and power windows.

As for the price, you really can’t expect an Impala SS that looks this good to be cheap. And this one really isn’t, as it can be yours today for $67,000.
