This Obscure Slovenian Hypercar Claims to Be the World’s Lightest

If you are old enough to remember the auto industry as it was back at the start of the current decade, then the name Tushek might ring a bell or two. It was then, in 2012 and 2013, that a Slovenian-based start-up tricked us into believing names like Renovatio or Forego might become big in the hypercar segment.

We have no idea what happened to those two cars. What we know is the Tushek start-up is still around, and it plans to show a brand new car at the Salon Privé Concours at the Blenheim Palace in the UK.

The car it will be showing there is called the TS 900 H APEX and is described as not being the most powerful hybrid hypercar on the road, but the lightest. That’s because it weighs 1,410 kg and Tushek seems to forget the McLarens or Koenigseggs of the world.

Regardless where you stand on this statement, the figure is, of course, impressive. Combine that with the car’s powertrain, and the 2.5 seconds 0-60 mph acceleration time seems perfectly legit.

At the heart of the car’s might sits a 4.2-liter rear-mounted V8 engine of unknown origin and age, that works together with two electric motors mounted on the front wheels. The combined push-and-pull power of the hardware translates into 950 hp, 1,400 Nm of torque and a top speed of 236 mph (380 kph).

Tushek did not say what it plans to do with the car after the appearance at the British event. There’s no word of a production run, despite the years of work that went into the development of the car. We guess it all depends on how the model is received by the people attending the Salon Prive.

The full details of the Tushek TS 900 H APEX as released by the Slovenian company can be found in the document attached below.
