A BMW M3 was found abandoned on the streets of Los Angeles. The front end is missing, the engine is long gone, and there is nothing left inside. But the red interior must have really looked nice. If you're from New Jersey and you are missing an M3, you should probably look for it in California.
An empty shell. That is what is left of this BMW M3. The white sports sedan was abandoned on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, and nobody seems to know what happened to it.

Those working nearby think that the car was probably dumped by a professional body shop and is probably getting fixed. However, it doesn't look like anyone has such plans with it anytime soon. The vehicle has been sitting there for days, with the VIN on site but with nobody claiming it.

The BMW is missing its entire front end, looking as if there was never a huge radiator grille, as if there were never any headlights there at all. And the most heartbreaking part is that the car is missing the engine.

Whoever did this “surgery” knew exactly what they were doing because they left everything clean behind them. That twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six used to send 543 horsepower (550 metric horsepower) and 406 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels.

And speaking of the wheels, the OM units were replaced with some multi-spoke ones with a black finish, looking worn out.

The entire interior also vanished. The dashboard has simply been cut out of its place. The digital instrument cluster and the touchscreen have probably already found room in some other BMW unless they are still for sale on eBay, for instance.

Only the air vent on the driver's side survived, together with the central armrest, a detail that reveals that this M3 had a red leather interior. But how come nobody wanted the M-branded steering wheel?

The car is registered in New Jersey, and the license plate expires on February 20, so there really isn't much time left.

The one filming said that he had seen something like this before. His neighbor got his Toyota Prius chopped off. Thieves stole the entire front end, hood included, but left the engine, unlike in the case of this BMW. It is obvious that whoever performed the surgery on this BMW took their time.

The following day, the BMW is still sitting there abandoned, but this time, the trunk lid is popped open. Probably someone found something left to steal from it.

Last month, we reported about a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo in Mamba Green Metallic that was mutilated by thieves. They cut the hood and fenders to extract the headlights of the electric car in the most brutal way.

That theft took place in Dusseldorf, Germany, during the night. The owner discovered the horror early morning when they walked to the car parked in the street.
