Carlos Aliaga Pastor is his name and he is an avid BMW fan by the looks of things. Hearing that the brand he loves is preparing to launch an even more impressive version of the i8, he immediately jumped at the occasion of drawing it in photoshop. The problem is, things kinda got out of hand.
The Spaniard created his beloved i9 as his master’s degree thesis project and, according to 95Octane.com it is inspired by nature, having the shape of an almond mixed with a hammerhead shark. Yes, things are really getting out of hand now.

As you might’ve noticed already, just like the i3 and i8, the i9 has some kind of special wheels on with blue accents on them that match the concept’s overall color scheme, including the kidney grille up front that also houses its moniker.

The headlights are mounted on the front fenders and the concept of a front bumper is definitely overrated in Pastor’s head as this thing has nothing of the sort. All it has is a splitter somewhere on the lower side of the car. The corona rings and the BMW badge are the only two things that let us know this is what it claims to be.

The cockpit is made up of glass and we’re guessing that would be Gorilla Glass, the same kind that was used on the i8 to separate the interior from the engine compartment at the back.

Round the back the madness continues as the car comes to a somewhat abrupt stop with one rectangular exhaust pipe in the middle and some red stripes that also serve as taillights, probably.

Overall, this is a good imagination exercise but the reality is that BMW would not go this far with the design of their possible supercar. At least not for the next 5 years that is.

The rumored i9 or i8S or whatever its name would be should come out in 2016 using a hybrid powertrain and making around 600 HP, a number that is not extremely high but coupled with a lightweight construction, this car could mean trouble for the likes of the P1, 918 Spyder or even LaFerrari.
