The ThirtySix model launched by the Dutch shipyard Mulder Yachts is already iconic in the world of contemporary luxury pleasure craft. The first unit was launched six years ago and is now available on the used sales market, looking for a new owner. Delta One is the first pre-loved ThirtySix model up for grabs and one that's truly worth admiring.
A couple of days ago, around 90 proud owners of Mulder yachts attended an important event. The Dutch shipyard celebrated its 85th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, it also launched its brand-new flagship model, the Mulder Fifty. This 50-meter (164 feet) vessel is the largest one ever built by Mulder, and according to the builder, is meant to fill a gap in the Dutch yacht industry when it comes to 50-meter plus semi-custom boats.

The new 499 GT vessel has a glorious road ahead and certainly boasts the potential to become another highly successful Dutch model. Still, its fundamental design is based on the shipyard's most successful model to this date, the remarkable ThirtySix. Delta One was the first unit delivered back in 2017 and is now the first pre-owned yacht in this range to enter the market.

According to Mulder, its original owners were based in Southern Europe and have thoroughly enjoyed their luxury toy so far. Most importantly, it was also said that the owner's passion for the Porsche 356 seeped into Delta One's unique interior style. Indeed, if you look carefully, you'll notice discrete automotive-inspired accents, such as the nightstands in the master suite or the tire-tread-patterned sole across the main salon.

Delta One's slender yet almost aggressive silhouette is instantly noticeable. It was designed by Claydon Reeves, with interior styling by Vickers Studio. In terms of naval architecture, the yacht benefitted from the genius of the highly acclaimed Van Oossanen team in the form of the FDHF (Fast Displacement Hull Form). This innovative concept was proven to add exceptional stability and fuel efficiency to contemporary superyachts.

At less than 40 meters (131 feet), the Delta One combines luxurious accommodation with high performance. It can easily welcome up to ten guests and a six-person crew, including the captain. The five-cabin configuration includes a full-beam master suite, three king-sized staterooms, and a double-bed cabin, all with en-suite bathrooms.

The owner's stateroom is not only ultra-stylish and particularly appealing to sports car connoisseurs but also surprisingly spacious for a pleasure craft this size. It's no less luxurious than a superyacht master suite, with a stunning marble bathroom, a separate office area, and a generous wardrobe.

The main salon feels more like a sumptuous apartment with spectacular panoramic views. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood this vast area with natural light and allow guests to take in the wonderful view. And there's more – the formal dining room comes with a unique feature. This is an elegant fold-out balcony that turns into a cozy, romantic nook outdoors. The oversized sliding doors also turn the entire main salon into an indoor/outdoor area that enhances the cruising experience.

When it comes to outdoor entertainment, Delta One surprises its guests once again. The 36-meter yacht (118 feet) comes with a luxurious eight-person jacuzzi on the sundeck, accompanied by numerous sun pads and generous seating. The deck is also equipped for comfortable al-fresco dining away from the elements and a stylish bar with all the bells and whistles.

At the water level, Delta One exceeds expectations with a lavish beach club. It includes a dayhead, a shower, and ample seating. As you'd expect, such a luxurious beach club also implies that the yacht comes with a fully packed toy box. Designed for adventurous owners who want to experience adrenaline-pumping vacations, this contemporary pleasure craft has every toy you'd want, including an e-foil.

These impressive features also ensured Delta One's charter popularity until now. In high season, one week onboard costs at least $180,000. The Mulder yacht was also designed for high-performance cruising, which is a must when it comes to luxury charter yachts.

Twin Caterpillar C18 engines allow it to hit the waves at 17 knots (31 kph). On a full tank of 32,000 liters (8,450 gallons), Delta One promises a transatlantic range of 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km) at an economical speed of 10 knots (18.5 knots). Plus, thanks to the two-meter draft (6.5 feet), this sleek boat can easily make its way to most marinas, unlike massive superyachts.

Slender and lightweight (its volume is under 300 GT), the Delta One yacht is truly a breath of fresh air in a world where gigantic megayachts are becoming increasingly popular. At the same time, it spoils onboard guests with the same luxury standard as any contemporary superyacht. As the first ThirtySix on the pre-used market, it indeed won't have to wait long to find its new owner, despite the intimidating price tag of €15.9 million ($17.3 million).
