When Tom Brady got his hands on Viva la Vida, everybody wanted a mini superyacht just like that. A recent sale in Fort Lauderdale brought a lucky American customer something even better: a brand-new Viva la Vida lookalike with impeccable, in-house finishes and a much more reasonable price tag.
Tom Brady's Viva la Vida, a Wajer 77, brought mini superyachts to everyone's attention, proving that even millionaires don't need the biggest boat out there to enjoy sumptuous comfort and the highest quality.

Sunya is the same size as the famous Dutch yacht and similar to it in many ways, even though it doesn't come from an equally prestigious builder. Alen Yacht has been on the market for approximately two decades and is one of the lesser-known Turkish boat builders. Turkish luxury yachts, in general, are rare in the US compared to Europe. Still, the beautiful Sunya managed to conquer the heart of an American owner.

The Turkish yacht was recently sold for just $4.5 million, considerably less than the Wajer 77, and a bargain given its high-end finishes and sophisticated design. This 77-foot (23.4 meters) flybridge is the largest model developed by Alen Yacht so far. The most remarkable feature is the walk-around deck, resulting in stunning 360-degree views of the water and an effortless flow on board.

Sunya is perfect for those who want to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible while cruising to their favorite destination. Several lounging areas and plush seating take full advantage of the deck's spaciousness and glorious views. Accommodation for up to six guests is provided across three elegant staterooms with en-suites, and the main salon was specifically designed to ensure a proper indoor/outdoor flow. Complete with a fully-equipped kitchen, this yacht has everything it needs for extended cruises.

Essentially a dayboat, Sunya is sleek and strong enough to reach exciting speeds of nearly 30 knots, although sporty performance isn't its top priority. Still, it's good to know that it boasts a surprisingly spacious engine room that makes it a lot easier to access the twin Volvo Penta IPS1350s. When it's time to ramp up the adrenaline, this elegant yacht also reveals a Williams 345 Sport-Jet tender and dedicated areas in its garage for two SeaBobs. Last but not least, a generous swim platform with a built-in Opacmare transformer brings onboard guests closer to the water.

Sunya's new owner is ready to take his 2023 toy to the Mediterranean and explore this dream destination over the course of three years. What better way to enjoy the upcoming season than with an extensive cruise to Greece and Turkey? It may not be as famous as Viva la Vida, but this Turkish luxury yacht might be an even better choice in the long run.
