Lancia launched its first powerboat in Venice with the help of Romanian supermodel Catrinel Menghia, during the Venice International Film Festival. Jointly developed by Sacs, FPT, and Martini, the Lancia powerboat will be officially presented to the public at the Genoa Boat Show between October 3-12.
Designed by Christian Grande, the Lancia Powerboat features “an aggressive yet balanced profile, with perfectly proportioned bow, cockpit and stern.” The fibreglass hull is made using moulds finished by robot milling machines, and measures 13.10 metres in length, with a broad beam of 3.83 metres.
Though most of you would like to hear more about Catrinel’s features, lets just keep our eyes on the Lancia Powerboat. Cruising speeds range from 15 to 45 knots, while top speed under ideal loading conditions tops 55 knots. That thanks to the two 1120 hp N67-560 diesel engines from Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT).
The new powerboat can carry up to 11 persons, and two have room to sleep in the cabin. Exterior features include four sunbathing mattresses, a bathing platform, LED accent lighting, and a power retractable roof. Inside, the boat boasts a fold-away LCD television, a galley, air conditioning, and "minimalist" bathroom facilities with a LCD-lighted shower.

“The hull’s profile in the water has been carefully designed so that anybody can drive the boat just like a Lancia car, but with the added excitement of travel without limits. If you want a more stimulating experience, all you have to do is adjust the trim of the propulsion,” a Company’s statement said.
