The Extravagant Panther 6-Wheeler

Introducing another strange blast from the past: the Panther 6, which was a six-wheeler convertible built in the late 70s and inspired by the famous Tyrrell P34 six-wheeler Formula One car.
Only two were ever built in 1977 and 1978, one in white and this black one, both of which still survive to this day. One of them is owned by a Middle East collector and they are a very rare sight.

The car is powered by an 8.2-liter Cadillac V8 engine that was turbocharged to about 600 horsepower. The 3-speed automatic gearbox sounds rudimentary today, buy what about these cool features: a telephone, television set, automatic fire extinguisher and electric seats and windows. That’s not bad for 1977.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
