Last week in The Crew Motorfest's weekly bundle update, we got the 1985 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole, the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T Hemi, the 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster Winter Agent Edition, the 1992 Bugatti EB110 Super Sport Anodized Edition, and the 1964 Porsche 911 Director's Cut. This week, the main theme is related to retro video games.
Ubisoft's Ivory Tower is trying to take us down "Nostalgia Lane" with the Main Stage Bundle. The Showstopper Video Games Classics contains the 1991 Ferrari 512 TR (Street Car), the 1949 Cadillac Deville Marco's Cab (Street Car), and the 2018 Yamaha YZ450F (Motorcross). The bundle is currently at 20% off and costs 838,879 Bucks or 119,839 Crew Credits. The offer expires in four days at the time of writing.

The first ride from the bundle takes me back to the good ol' arcade days when Sega's 1986 OutRun was all the rage. Driving that Ferrari Testarossa was as good as graphics got back then. But we didn't care because the experience was like nothing else the storytelling medium had to offer.

So even though the gameplay was clunky and the car felt like pushing wet cardboard against rubber, OutRun still became a classic to old-timers. It seems Ubisoft decided to recreate that experience, but with an updated version of the Testarossa, the 1991 Ferrari 512 TR. The Lamborghini Diablo wouldn't have been a bad pick, either.

The 512 TR donned a 4.9-liter V12 powerhouse with a Bosch injection system and had a 5-speed manual transmission system and rear-wheel drive. In its heyday, it delivered 422 hp or 428 hp with 362 lb-ft or 491 Nm. According to its spec sheet, it went from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 4.8 seconds and had a top speed of exactly 313.8 kph or 195 mph. With a 41/59 weight distribution, you could have driven this baby on the track like a maniac.

Next, the 1949 Cadillac Coupe Deville is cleverly disguised as a New York cab. The '49 Deville was the first Cadillac V8 to deliver 160 horsepower. It had a top speed of 100 mph or 161 kph. It's not the fastest gun in the West, hitting 62 mph or 100 kph in 13.4 seconds.

But you're not going to race a Ferrari in it, anyway. It's more for cruising around thinking about the good life. Back then, it sold for $3,496, and according to inflation calculators, today would cost $45,584. That's an inflation rate of 1,203.89%.

The Caddy taxi is reminiscent of Crazy Taxy where you drove a 1960 Cadillac Eldorado. However, a '57 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham is for sale as part of the pretty sweet Vintage Garage bundle. The pack is one of the cheapest bundles available, at almost 20,000 in-game Bucks or 2,800 Crew Credits.

Aside from the Yamaha YZ450F that reminds me of Elma or Elasto Mania, that's pretty much it for this week's offerings in The Crew Motorfest.
