Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce to you the first ever rendering of a BMW M4 pickup. That’s right, it finally happened. While Ute and El Camino enthusiasts might be ecstatic right now, we’re rather reticent.
That’s because BMW is known to do certain things to please its customers and fan base. They’re so prone to do so that a while back they created E92 M3 pickups for real just to troll everyone. Sure, at that time the whole thing remained just an exercise but who knows, maybe it will come to life one day.

We’re hoping that day will be far away and not just to spite those wanting a crazy powerful RWD car with a bed in the back but because BMW is already diluting the M brand by creating all sorts of cars.

Amongst them we could mention the M6 Gran Coupe, the X6 M, the M Performance Automobile range and the plethora of M badges thrown on every M Sport model. The most powerful letter in the world is too common these days.

Getting back to the matter at hand here, the car doesn’t look half bad if you think about it and, even though we have only one photo, we can tell that those flared wheel arches at the back are rather impressive looked at from above.

Not to mention the incredible amount of fun you could have with that twin-turbo 3-liter engine and its 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque on the rear axle with almost no weight on it.

During our review we noticed that the M4 has plenty of grip on for the rear tires. However, the torque and horsepower numbers are enough to break traction if you really want to. It's good to know that you'll be safe though, in every situation thanks to that magical differential, especially in M Driver's Mode.
