The 2017 Ducati SuperSport Has A Price

If you're looking to buy a sportbike with the comfort of a commuter, then the recently-unveiled Ducati SuperSport might be on your list. And now you know how much cash you need to take one home.
As you might know already, the new bike comes in two flavors, so the standard 2017 Ducati SuperSport will have an MSRP of $12,995 while the SuperSport S is offered with an MSRP of $14,795.

If you take a look at Ducati's website, you'll notice the SuperSport is about a grand more than the standard Monster naked, while the SuperSport S is well under the price of a Monster 1200 S.

The new SuperSport actually looks like a combination between the Monster and the Panigale model, coming with a front fairing inspired by the lines of the latter while the rear comes with a single-sided swingarm, rear seat cowl and aven the stacked dual exhausts seen on the Monster.

Power is provided by the 937 cc Testastretta 11 degree V-twin churning 113 hp along with a linear torque curve that hits its peak at 72 lb-ft (97.9 Nm). And yes, you are right, the engine is coming straight from the Hypermotard.

There are three riding modes available - Sport, Touring, and Urban - to make the most out of that power and suspension. The bike is also coming with ABS and Ducati Traction Control to aid with that matter.

The extra cash for the SuperSport S come in the form of a fully adjustable Ohlins suspension along with a Quick Shift system that works both for up- and down-shifts.
