A lot of abuse came into mind as we watched this video, but we'll refrain from reproducing such words here. However, this very video shows exactly why we hate the guts of those who don't use the blinkers in due time as they change course... riders and drivers alike.
Even if the clash between the SUV and the bike did not end up with a crash, the whole incident could have been avoided altogether, should the driver used the damned turning signals BEFORE pulling into lane one, and directly into the bike.
Even if some might argue that the main fault belongs to the bike who was splitting lanes, this does not change the facts: if the driver was careful enough and announced his intention to change lanes prior to steering to the right, we are positive that the biker would have slowed down, letting him change lanes and then rode away.
Unfortunately, we get to see huge numbers of such ignorant idiots who believe that the only reason because cars have blinkers is to use them when parking illegally in a no stopping or parking zone. And by the way, some guys with more common sense deem lane splitting legal, too.
