For some reason we thought we’re already passed the Lincoln ads Matthew McConaughey did but it seems there’s some sort of a vicious circle going on online. The latest spoof that managed to become funny enough to be mentioned is what Cedar Hill Police did to celebrate hitting 4,000 likes on Facebook.
Judging by all these new videos officers around the country are making just to look funny and... well, human, it turns out the Ferguson riot and all the protests that followed have had quite an impact. Sure, other incidents followed and the public image police has in US is still not that good, yet we have to admit their efforts are impressive.

After all, the officer in question is subtly making a fool of himself, as he does the whole finger thing while slowly driving a police Ford Explorer. At some point the prisoner who’s existence nobody knew of until then, suddenly appears from the backseat and asks the officer if anything happened. The car is that slow he thought something was wrong with the driver.

It turns out the officer had no idea on who his passenger is, nor who the car belongs to. That’s pretty much the story around this video created by the Cedar Hill police in Dallas and Ellis counties, Texas.

The spoof was inspired by Jim Carrey’s version broadcast on SNL which is probably the funniest one. According to Police One, the video stars Sergeant Larry Wise and was filmed for an wards banquet before it made it up on the department’s social media pages.

Now, considering Matthew McConaughey’s initial ads actually helped Lincoln sell more of their new MKC crossover, we’re pretty sure this new spoof won’t harm the luxury carmaker, if not even help them. After all, a Ford is a Ford.
