American EV manufacturer Tesla Motors announced the opening of a new gallery in Boulder, Colorado, a place where those interested in having an electric taste of a Tesla vehicle can go for a test drive.
“Tesla’s newest gallery is a huge coup for those of us who live in and love Colorado,” Kimbai Musk, Tesla board member said when announcing the opening. “Colorado was the adopted home of turn-of-the-century inventor Nikola Tesla, and it’s great to see that our state is still inspiring visionary change.”
The gallery will also acts as a center for the manufacturer's mobile service squad. As part of the recently launched program, Tesla's technicians will visit owners’ homes, offices or parking garages. Being equipped with all the tools needed to perform a wide range of procedures, including annual inspections and firmware upgrades.
“Our customers told us that they wanted service that was convenient, clean and fast – and our ‘house call’ approach is just what the doctor ordered,” Greg Zanghi, Tesla’s director of service operations said when the program was debuted.
“Our strategy reflects Tesla’s goal to take an uncompromising approach to everything we do, and we hope our Rangers set a new standard for the industry.”
Tesla's new Colorado gallery is located at 915 Pearl St. in the Pearl Street Mall and is the newest addition to the regional hub's Tesla is setting up throughout the nation. Colorado was chosen because of Governor's Bill Ritter commitment to make the state the most environmentally friendly in the nation.
