Tesla Model X Spotted Again in San Jose, Has Sensors Mounted On the Outside

Tesla is not willing to provide details about their upcoming Model X, but that doesn't affect those test prototypes roaming around in California.

If you think about it, this can be a good marketing tactic that would require zero investment, as people are likely to post videos and pictures on the Internet whenever they catch a car they're interested in; in this case the Model X.

Leaving that aside, we'll mention it's not the first time drivers spotted the Model X driving past them on the highway. According to the video description, the Tesla crossover test prototype you're about to see in the clip below was spotted somewhere on the 280 South in San Jose.

The car seems to be fitted with small antennas acting as sensors in the front and above the falcon wing doors. However, there's no point in making comments on the car's exterior because this is only a pre-production prototype.

Also, while the car's exterior shape can give us some hints on the EV's final design, the ready-to-go version will only reveal all its secrets once Tesla Motors decides to show it to the world.

When that happens - most likely in a couple of months from now - owners will be able to buy an EV crossover with around 10,000 lbs (4,535 kg) towing capacity and a presumably 95 kWh battery pack that would offer a maximum range of 230 miles (370 km).
