Teenager Hits Church at the Wheel of Stolen Jeep Wrangler

A police video camera captured a typical pursuit that involved a speeding Jeep Wrangler that ended with the 4x4 plowing a Church in Socastee, South Carolina, last Friday. The driver of the vehicle turned out to be a 15-year old girl who had stolen the red vehicle.

According to police report, officers responded to a home along Memory Lane in reference to a stolen vehicle just after midnight. The victim of the theft told that she saw her Jeep Wrangler driving down Moss Creek Road without headlights by an unknown person without consent, adding that she had left the vehicle unlocked with a spare set of keys in the center console.

Officers found the vehicle and observed an unknown white female behind the wheel. After their attempts to stop the vehicle by flashing their lights failed a chaise ensued According to the report obtained by WMBF News, speeds began around 45 miles per hour, however, around the area of Figure Eight Road, the suspect sped to around 60 miles per hour.

The Jeep turned in the direction of Socastee Baptist Church and crash directly into the southeast portion. Officers then exited the vehicle and found the 15-year old lying in the driver's side front floor board. While she was still awake and alert, the crash had left her with intense pains.

When asked by she had committed the offense, she allegedly said that her intentions were to "to kill herself because life was not worth living anymore." This is a really sad story, but it could have turned out even worse!
