It's not uncommon for actors to be avid car enthusiasts. Because their social and financial status allows them, most of them often have entire garages filled with wheeled beauties. A select few even go as far as having customs made to their exact specifications.
I know, when reading the above your mind immediately flies to male actors the likes of Kevin Hart or Jason Momoa, but actresses are in this business as well. And their kind (meaning actresses with a soft spot and a lot of knowledge about cars) doesn't get any more visible than Sydney Sweeney.

The 26-year-old is presently enjoying her best years so far. Her latest movie, Anyone But You, is already in cinemas, and two more are on the way: Madame Web (February) and Immaculate (March).

None of the above flicks have anything to do with vehicles, but that doesn't mean Sweeney isn't into them. After all, she did grow up in a family of mechanics and picked up enough skill to film herself restoring a 1969 Ford Bronco on her TikTok channel, Syd's Garage.

We're bringing Sweeney up again because her connection with Ford became even deeper. An official collab between the two parties will see the creation of two custom Mustangs of the 2024 model year, one of which will be handed over for free to a lucky Sweeney/Ford fan.

Both cars are inspired by the actresses' own 1965 Mustang (nicknamed Britney), and are described as a “blend of retro charm and a modern aesthetic.” Sweeney's touch comes in the form of the vehicles' paint jobs (Robin's Egg Blue with crushed glass clear coat), and the 20-inch chrome rims.

Sweeney placed her autograph on the engines of the Mustangs. There is also the Ford x Sydney Sweeney heart bolt emblem (you're probably used to it from the clothing line previously released by the two parties) on the side of the cars, the dashboard, and embossed on the leather seats. Finally, special color-changing LEDs have been fitted across the headliner.

All you have to do to get a shot at getting your hands, for free, on the Mustang created by Ford and Sweeney is head over to Ford's Instagram or TikTok channels, follow the company, and comment using the #FordMustangContest hashtag to the post announcing the competition.

The contest is already up and running, and it will conclude on February 7. It is only open to U.S. residents (but not those in Alaska and Hawaii) above 18 years of age. Further details on terms and conditions can be found here.

2024 is just beginning, and seeing how this is the year when Ford is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Mustang it’s probably safe to assume a lot more publicity stunts such as this will follow. Stay close to see what the Blue Oval has planned next.
