Suzuki Has One More Year for MotoGP Testing

The Hamamatsu group switched to an in-line 4-cylinder architecture are are aiming at a resounding return to MotoGP in 2015. Even more, as they plan to make an entry as a factory team (in case Dorna makes some grid adjustments for 2015), Suzuki is working really hard with the re-engineering of their bike.

Suzuki is now running an ECU manufactured by Mitsubishi, but they are going to have to use the Dorna-spec Magneti Marelli unit before homologation and being officially admitted back to racing.

This also comes with the 20 liters of fuel restriction which applies to each team using their own software, so the engineers will have a busy year bringing the bike up to spec.

So far, the Suzuki XRH-1 has been intensively tested with Randy De Puniet and Nobuatsu Aoki, and we have enough reasons to believe the Frenchman will get a factory seat in 2015.

However, the news on the potential wildcard appearances for Suzuki in 2014 are scarce, with most rumors going for the 2-race version. We can only hope that Suzuki will not be a second Ducati...
