Supercharged Camaro SS Drag Race at Palm Beach

There’s something quintessentially cool about a hot Camaro. It doesn’t have to be the latest ZL1 track car, because the regular SS will do just fine once you bolt on a couple of serious mods.
And they don’t get much more serious than a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger and a set of sports cams couple with a new exhaust system.

It’s still basically a car for the road, so the misses could potentially take it shopping if she stays well away from the bottom two thirds of the gas pedal. Why? Because this monster makes 400 horsepower stock, but is probably closer to 600 now.

At the Palm Beach International Raceway, the car managed an impressive run of 11.6 seconds at 125 miles per hour (201 km/h), despite going easy on the start.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
