Last week, Orange County-based Super73 announced the start of deliveries for the R Series of electric motorbikes, made of two models dedicated to both casual riders and the more competition-oriented ones. To give people an idea of what the bikes of the R Series can become in the right hands, the company also developed a custom two-wheeler.
The R Series comprises the R and RX, two machines that for under $3,000 come with a 2,000 watts internally geared brushless DC hub motor and a 960 Wh battery, allegedly the largest one in its segment. Both bikes can cover a distance of 40 miles at 20 mph (64 km at 32 kph), or even 75 miles (120 km) when using the ECO pedal assist mode.

The custom bike in the gallery above is based on the RX and was inspired according to its makers by Super73’s participation in the Roland Sands Super Hooligan series back in 2019. Called the Flat Track RX, it “isjust one example of how a little customization can go a long way to radically alter the personality of the bike.”

The custom build features a shorter rear shock and a lowered front end, both changes made so to give the two-wheeler a more aggressive stance. Adjustable stock suspension and lower and wider handlebars allow a better position for the rider to enjoy.

The bike is styled differently too compared to its stock siblings. It comes with specially crafted body panels, a cage to protect the battery, and a full-length frame skid plate. The entire build was wrapped in black and bronze.

“With so many new features on the R Series models and a platform designed for freedom of expression, SUPER73 is looking forward to seeing what owners will do with their own bikes and invites them to share their creations with the SUPER73 Super Squad owner’s group,” said the company.
