Ireland is probably one the most beautiful, unspoiled parts of Europe. For most of the year, it’s covered in lush greenery and we can’t say that we’re not partial to those hundred year old cottages. But when it comes to cars, you need something that will last you a long while and that will deal with the rough of the country lanes.
Subaru might have a new answer in the form of their XV crossover, a model that “combines city style with urban and offroad ability.” The 2.0TD XV launched in Ireland has been priced at €34,995, and is well equipped with Power-folding door mirrors with built-in LED turn signals, 17" aluminium alloy wheels, Leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, front seats with heating, Rear Vision Camera System and Cruise control.
The 2.0-liter diesel engine is mated to Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD and a six-speed manual gearbox. The 16-valve DOHC engine produces 147 hp from just 3,600 rpm and 350 lb-ft or torque.
