With less than two weeks before the Geneva Auto Show will open its doors for the media representatives across the world, Subaru decided to offer a teaser image with what they call the 'Boxer Sports Car Architecture'.

The image is meant to offer a sneak preview of the Subaru Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Car technology concept, which is set to make its world debut at the event.

“The SUBARU “BOXER Sports Car Architecture” embodies the technology concept of Subaru’s Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Car, currently under joint development with Toyota Motor Corporation. It also represents a proposal of Subaru’s new platform technology, build around its key component – the Horizontally-Opposed Subaru Boxer engine,” the company explains in a statement for the press.

The company is also setting up a special website to help customers better understand the philosophy underpinning this unique technology exhibit, as well as providing information updates relating to the Geneva motor show and include the movie of Subaru’s press conference.

Besides offering details regarding the Boxer Sports Car Architecture, the Japanese automaker's stand at this year's Geneva Motor Show will also showcase the Impreza Concept and the Trezia minivan. The new Subaru FT-86 is also expected to make an appearance at the event, but we’ll just have to wait and see to make sure.

As for the Subaru Impreza concept, this is powered by a 2.0-liter four cylinder Horizontally-Opposed boxer engine coupled with Lineartronic (CVT), a platinum-leather four-seat layout, and the company’s driving assist "EyeSight" system.

On the other hand, the Subaru Trezia, characterized by the manufacturer as a “New Compact Smart Wagon,” is a touring compact car with an overall body size of less than 4 meters in length.
