The 1956 Lancia Aurelia B24S America Spider is set to go to auction in January. RM Auctions will be selling it off, at an event in Arizona on January 18th, yet if you were thinking of buying it, we have a word of warning: it is extremely expensive, as it is a ‘proper Lancia’ from the good ol’ days.
Expected to get very close to the $1-million mark, this drop top, with its stunning curvaceous body is the stuff of dreams for most motoring enthusiasts, yet very few can actually afford it. It is also a historic model, as it is the first production car ever to use a V6 engine, apparently, and this particular model, the B24S America is one of the most desirable post-war Italian sports cars, and the most desirable Lancia from that period.
