There's nothing wrong with the way a Range Rover Sport looks. You could comfortably take it to a white tie event and look the part. But just like a gentleman who wants to stand out puts on a well tailored jacket and gold cufflinks, so too has Startech tailored a better-fitting body kit for the Sport.
Brabus' Land Rover specialist spinoff has in taken the Range Rover Sport to the next level of excellence in order to highlight its best features for the Geneva (Motor Show 2014) black tie event. The tuners have swapped the factory wheels for 23-inch ceramic-coated forged wheels, which now have more room to fit thanks to a Widebody kit wihch extends 30mm on each side.
These wheels are lighter than the factory ones and are available with sticky 305/30 R 23 high-performance tires. But the tuner has already prepared 21-inch and 22-inch wheel+tire combos for those who want a more relaxed ride.
There's no point in tailoring a nice suit if the Range Rover Sport can't fill it in, so Startech sent it through a dyno training regime to bulk out the output. A power pack called the SD 30 S is available for the basic TDV6 and increases the output to 323 PS from 292 PS. Torque is also boosted by 80 Nm to 680 Nm (501 lb-ft). As a result, this mild-mannered car will brutishly catapult itself to 100km/h (62mpg) in 6.9 seconds.
