The Porsche 911 is going a bit retro again, and it’s not afraid to show it! The prototype for what we believe to be the new Targa has once again been spotted by the men with the long lenses.
You should not be fooled by the fake canvas roof, this being just a clever disguise to hinder us from seeing that retro-style rollover bar. Unlike the current Targa model, the whole roof will come out, leaving you with a true open air feeling.

The Targa seems to be based on the 911 Cabrio, since the rear quarter panels are cut the same way where the roof arches were removed.

Porsche is rumored to be killing the 911 Targa asa a stand alone car, instead likely offering it as an optional configuration for the Carrera range. This prototype for example appears to be a Targa 4, based on the strip between the taillights, and the exhaust.
