It’s not news anymore that the Mk3 MINI will receive a 5-door version, hoping to cater to every possible desire of the most pretentious customer out there. However, there are still a lot of questions that go unanswered regarding the new model.
Our latest batch of spyshots show the upcoming Cooper spied next to the 3-door version that has been revealed in full already. Apart from the 2 extra doors, we can also notice what looks like a new color (it’s hard to say because of the lighting), the smaller front doors and the apparently bigger boot, given away by the C-pillar.
The wheelbase of the 5-door version seems noticeably longer as it was only natural but the underpinnings are shared with almost every other FWD model that will soon be released, being built on the UKL platform.
As for the engines, we can expect the exact same line-up as for the 3-door hatch, with 1.5- and 2-liter power plants that make between 116 HP and 192 HP (probably more for the JCW versions).
