They say that the facelift for the E-Class is so severe that they might just as well have called a new car. Judging by these latest spy photos we’ve got, you can certainly say that’s true.
This is the ever so desirable E-Class Coupe, in black, as it gets ready for its 2014 model year refresh. The changes at the front are becoming more evident, as the camouflage is lighter. Our spy photographers are able to give us an up-close view of the new single-unit headlights as well asi the new air intake which is larger. The grille is also changed and appears to only have one horizontal bar holding the logo in place.

As you can see, the rest of the car is just as Mercedes left it – the tail lights, trunk, doors, and side skirts, appear to remain unchanged. But the rear bumper is camouflaged and will be changed.

The only new engine that’s rumored for the E-Class facelift right now is the E300, the detuned version of the 3.5-liter V6 with 248 hp. Though this will likely only be available on the sedan.
