Spread Your Love with Romantic Tire Treads

Maybe we are not such cheesy romantic individuals, or maybe we just want to keep things simple and we’re driven of a more conservative force, but we just can’t help wondering what the creator of the project from the adjacent images was thinking.

Before you place your bets on a woman as being the brain (or heart, or God knows what other anatomical part) behind this contraption, we must bring you down to earth and tell you that it was a man (yes, a man), who came up with this heart-shaped, colorful tire tread design for bicycles.

As said and seen, the tire design has heart-shaped knobs that are allegedly meant to create playful tracks on the streets. The tire treads come in different colors, while corresponding bike racks are distributed throughout the city.

The concept has been developed by Iranian designer Hamed Kohan for the Seoul Cycle Competition, DesignBoom says, who describes it like this: “simple as love, strong as love.” Not too many words for a such an imaginative guy...

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Kohan is single, or at least that is what his relationship status on Facebook says. We guess nobody followed the heart-shaped path he left behind...

The competition has been organized in association with the Seoul Design Foundation and debuted last year, aiming at strengthening city’s design capacity by unfolding various projects to encourage Seoul’s design industry and broaden the design culture based on its flagship facilities.
