Spot the Porsche, Win Some Fans

You know what they say: if you can't afford it, you can spot it... Well, actually no one really says that, but at least this is how the latest Porsche gimmick for the masses can be summed up: not everybody can afford a Porsche, but everybody can spot one, somewhere.

The German manufacturer is trying to make its presence felt to the American football-loving public by announcing a competition for those with an eye for Porsche and the heart for the Super Bowl XLV.

The mechanism of the competition is very simple: everyone equipped with a device which allows them to take a quick snapshot of a Porsche vehicle (regardless of the model) doing something, anything, on the streets of Dallas.

All photos submitted by users (which should, by the way, include both the Porsche model that caught their attention and the background) will be included in a real-time online photo gallery which will be posted on the car maker's Facebook page.

So, what do you get out of it, apart from having your photo posted online? Nothing, really. Because Porsche has a very healthy thinking pattern: why does everything worth doing need to be rewarded in some way or another?

“Photos that best capture the spirit and vibe of the big game weekend will be a featured "All Star" in the "#Porsche Spotting at the Big Game" album on Porsche's Facebook fan page, which recently surpassed the milestone of one million fans,”
the car maker says. And that should be enough.
