It seems that Citroen got their stuff back together and started to create odd cars again. And the DS range isn’t the only one to get that special treatment; the newly introduced C4 Cactus comes with the same vanguardist recipe, only for a lot less cash.
Yeah, we drove the new Citroen C4 Cactus and were quite impressed with its features. It’s very light, uses cheap but good-looking interior materials, an odd-looking but cool exterior design and comes with some new features in the auto industry, like those airbumps and a passenger airbag mounted in the roof.

While the Cactus will perfectly serve you in town and short trips in the countryside, some of you will definitely crave for a higher powered version to match the car’s “passive aggressive” looks.

We were thinking of that too and it looks like somebody else was turned by the same idea, as Virtuel Car just rendered a sportier iteration of the Cactus. It comes with everything needed to stand apart from the rest of the lineup.

Outside, enhancements include redesigned black rims, some extra red fins on the sides of the rear window, redesigned bumpers and side skirts, tinted windows all the way around and even angular exhaust tips, which looks quite awesome, considering the standard model doesn't come with an exposed exhaust.

The interior remains factory, but comes with different, race-inspired displays, that include several extra virtual gauges, and a few red accents here and there.

However, since this is a Citroen, hence a looks-over-power car, it can’t have an engine to match other cars in the hot hatch area. Maybe if it was created for a parallel universe, but in our world a 180 hp unit should do the trick. Dreams of getting a limited run edition? Maybe, but only with exterior mods. Performance wise, we doubt Citroen would get into that.
