It didn't take long for the F-Pace to dominate Jaguar sales, so the big cat has now upped the ante on the high-riding level with the I-Pace, an electric crossover that will give the Los Angeles Auto Show quite a shock.
And while we've already met the the I-Pace online, we're back on the topic to bring you a rendering that addresses what might be seen as the Jag's only major issue, namely that it isn't as quick as a Tesla Model X P100D.
Coming from digital artist X-Tomi, whose work we featured on multiple occasions, this pixel play sees the all-electric concept car getting the extra speed treatment, albeit at a visual level.
The let's-make-things-look-faster treatment kicks off with the front fascia, which now looks more air-hungry than a turbine, while the revised front grille completes the scenery.
Perhaps the most striking element added to the concept car is the rear wing, but if we take into account the fact that the 394 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque delivered by the concept bring a 0 to 62 mph sprint of 4.0 seconds, a boosted version like the one we have here might just need such aero additions.
The production I-Pace, which is scheduled to land in mid-2018, will hold on to its designer shoes (expect a 21-inch setup rather than the 23-inch one on the concept though). However, a go-faster version imagined here might just mirror the wheel size seen on the concept.
Given the fact that the Tesla Model X line-up kicks off with the P60D and that the full performance of the P100D is scheduled to be unlocked "soon" with the help of an Easter Egg upgrade, Jaguar might want to diversify its line-up too.
However, instead of the R-S badge introduced by the digital artist behind this render, we could see the company going for the SVR badge instead. However, we might just have to fill up our time with new renderings (they should come our way) until we get to see Jaguar building a whole range of electric SUVs.
